Not your typical dinner and dessert

Dinner:
Cooked up some sausage and mixed it with pancake batter, cooked the pancakes, then topped with a runny yolk egg and drizzled with maple syrup. Sounds kind of strange, but the result was sweet yet savory - not too bad. (I remember eating Smithfield country ham as a kid drizzled with maple syrup)
Dessert:
Fresh blueberries atop lite Cool Whip doused with Rumtopf liqueur

Works for me. Most of my breakfast plates end up a big pile of the sweet and savory while I am eating them.

I love the sausage in the pancakes idea, Dad liked to take cooked bacon and lay it on the hot griddle and pour the pancake batter over it to make long bacon filled pancakes, it made for a great Saturday breakfast.
