This woman is from Pine, Louisiana and is in a migratory hummingbird corridor. She put a red bowl in her hand and this is what happened.

Never seen anything like that with hummers before.  Is it unusual for them to do that?  Dee

Very cool pictures. I had one buzz behind my ear one day sitting in a lawn chair and thought it was the biggest mosquitoes I ever heard. Thank god it was only the humming bird.  ;D

That is some great photos of the tiny birds. Some places you will see them together. Here in NW Ohio right now I have a resident male, the one that had my area all summer, guarding his supply and chasing all others away. They are starting their migration south for the winter. A friend Russ Thompson from KY is the best hummingbird photographer I have seen. Here is a link to his site. http://rthompson8.homestead.com/hummers.html

They are normally so aggressive to other humming birds when they find a food source! That is amazing!

Dee takes some fantastic pictures :D
