I would think dry ice in a styrafoam cooler pack. I am sure UPS or FedEx will have some type of package to use for cold shipping.

Ice packs would be best. FedEx/ UPS charges a hazardous material fee on dry ice.

I would freeze the bacon and put it in an insulated shipping pack with frozen gel packs. Ship it next day air... it will be expensive.

Is it necessary to ship next day air? The Bacon is both cured & smoked, shoulnt it stay good for a month or more?

I was thinking the same thing.  Ship on a Monday will be there on Wednesday via USPS. (https://www.usps.com/priority-mail/map/)
I would say definitely freeze the bacon (maybe turn down your freezer to coldest setting for a deep freeze) place in Styrofoam container and some ice packs you should be fine.  Especially with the colder temperatures it will take longer for it come back to room temp.

1.  Put bacon in suitcase
2.  Put suitcase in car
3.  Drive car to Florida
4.  Stay in Florida until summer because Detroit is COLD

Given that the bacon has ben cured well ( curing salt brine then hot smoked  ) it is much safer than trying to ship "fresh" bacon or sausage".

I would recommend vacuum packing, freeze it, and the the frozen gel packs in a stryo container as well. And - this time of year - it will probably maintain at <40F. easily.

40F is the temp we have been told by USDA is the "ceiling" for maintaing refrigerated foods.

Perfect plan there Hub, and make sure you get out of Florida before the summer hurricane season arrives.
