Bought a Brisket!
« Reply #-1 on: July 11, 2015, 10:57:59 AM »
First one in 2 years ! Wife & daughters in D.C. For a wedding & figured I could justify the cost of a brisket.
Well by surprise , Kroger had Whole packers for $3.99 a lb.
Not only that but I noticed several in the bin were very small & low and behold I have a 6 lb flat for $4/lb.
Who was I to argue with the professionals who decided this was a packer so I bought it  ;)

I've been getting packers for around $3.25/lb.  Flats have been running around $7, so I can usually get a packer or a flat for about the same price.  So, yes, you got a deal . . . . provided you didn't want any burnt ends ! ! ! !

Can't wait to see how you did it ! !
