Thanks all. I took the plunge (yes, pun intended) and ordered the Anova. Tee, appreciate the contrarian advice. Makes sense and some good points. Unfortunately already pulled the trigger but I think for me I made the right decision. Or I'll be explaining to my wife why I need to buy a DSV. I guess I need to start doing some searches for recipes.
I'm intrigued with Sous Vide. What are the advantages? How would I use?Being that this is a total unknown to me - would this be a good one to consider?http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UKPBXM4/ref=gbps_tit_s-3_0842_a6aa6242?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=2338600842&pf_rd_s=slot-3&pf_rd_t=701&pf_rd_i=gb_main&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=02ZCZZ4GMSXXGMXA3MF2

I was tempted to spend the $60 more and go with the wifi version - I'm a sucker for tech. But decided to save the $$ for grill grates. What was the price when you posted it? It's at $178 now, is that what it was?
