Good bye old friends...

My old CB Red and much older CB Commericial grill have been sitting on my trailer since I built the cook deck that LA inspired me to build with picks of his at Lost Arrow.
Finally decided yesterday to let them go. I striped the stainless off both of them so I can use it for something or sell it for scrap.
It was amazing the difference in the two once stripped. I bought the CBC back in 2006. That was when I met CB Martin at Char Broil that eventually led me here. ( e-mail and flip phones back in those days)
The stainless never rusted on that grill and I hated to let it go but room for it was an issue. The Red grill cost as much as a Weber and cooked a lot of good things.unfortuantly extreme maintence cost finally went to far.
In the picture on the left is what was not stainless on the $200 CBC.  I left the handle on the CBR because the so called SS screws rusted to unusable and I did not feel like drilling them out.

So I've let go and moved on !  ;D

Terry, I will not replace the char broil red troughs again. I fully understand why you are letting go. Great grill in its day but up keep is a killer.
