 Like the others I am glad your OK and the house isn't any worse.  You have a great attitude! 
  You might as well have them cut up a bunch of small pieces of the tree to use for smoking wood later.   Short pieces are easier to split and cure faster....

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.
I know how you must feel. Five years ago a tornado took half of my house with it and we are still recovering.
But like you, My wife, my dogs & I made it through safely.

Hope you don't have too much trouble getting it all cleaned up.

Sorry about the damage but it sounds like you are making the best of it. We were worried here but the bad weather went north of us and the folks there got some damage.  I was without power for 3 days once and I really did some cooking on the outdoor grill and my old Coleman camping stove.
