Aug 23 2016

The wife had her water aerobics at the Y today so just me & the dog here this afternoon. I did get some chores done today. After a two month drought with very little rain the weeds grew and survived. I sprayed some of them today.

I baked an Amish sugar pie and then cleaned the outside of my gas grill and my Traeger smoker. I vacuumed the Traeger inside, cleaned the grate and changed the foil on the drip pan. I had a few beer breaks too!

The wife came home and set out with me for a while; it was a nice day today. A welcome change from the hot humid weather we were having.

The wife had the skillet meal and rice leftovers from last night for her supper. I had enough pulled pork left to make myself a nice sandwich topped with some of my Kimchi. I had it on toasted white bread with some mustard and a side dish of the Kimchi. It tasted great!

Without trying that, I know that combination is a winner.  I need to stop being lazy and make a batch of your kimchi.

Kimchi on pork...sounds like a natural fit to me! Have any of you sen the huge food craze on the West Coast that is a blend of Korean with Mexican? I hope some of our WC guys will share some ideas from that mix....
