Louisiana Pellet Grills
« Reply #-1 on: May 22, 2013, 01:56:11 PM »
Does anyone have any thoughts on Louisiana Pellet Grills? I've been looking at as many grills as I can, and reviews as well, but can't find reviews of this brand. Are they new to the game? Thanks for any help!

Louisiana has been around a number of years. But - they don't seem to be as popular or as strong in the marketplace as they once were. Not sure why...
Would like to see/hear more from them.

Thanks T! I just found it odd that there are no reviews for this brand no matter where I look. It's almost as if they suddenly appeared/reappeared on the market.

Talk to the good folks at Fire Craft. They sell a bunch of them.

Hey Hikerman, they make some pretty good  grills, I think the Green Mountains were just a little less money and a little more technology, and have moved into that spot behind Treager.  I have a Buddy that is a dealer for them up in Mn. and also has the best pellet prices in the Midwest if you are looking.  He also sales Green Mountains.

I see you are in Grand Ridge Il.  If you ever run across my old Buddy Kevin Chalfant around town, tell him Larry 'The Trucker' from Pismo beach says Hey!  Spent a few days there visiting him and Judy some years back.  Boy that guy can really sing .  I think I have all his cd's

Thank you Larry! If you want you could PM me his business' name and #. I'd love to get one of the top-of-the-line grills, but having a hard time justifying all that moolah. I have many other passions. lol   Anyway, trying to get the best bang for my buck is my current search. Your help is appreciated!
As for Kevin, he has a recording studio downtown and I don't see him often because he's around here when I'm at work. But I do work with his brother-in-law (Judy's brother) and I will make sure he gets your message. Kevin is a great guy, so if you are friends I assume you to be in that category as well.
Be well,
Gene

That double unit pig cooker they make is huge! It has a center partition that divides it into two grills. Has two separate controllers for each side. And for $2500.00 it is a really good deal.

If you do purchase one of their units I highly recommend you get the upgraded controller. It is the same controller that is used in my Memphis. I can tell you that it is one great controller ;)

I just discovered the Lousiana Pellet Grill / Smoker today at Cabelas.  This thing really rang my bell.  I was about to pull the trigger on an Electric Smoker, after all, but some little voice in my coconut just keep whispering to me to wait.  Then I saw the L.G.  For $799.99, it has everything I want.  I do wonder about the controller, but man, I love the rounded Drip tray and the ability to just slide it back for open flame Searing.  Just can't find much in the way of reviews.  Anyone know more about them, now?

Thanks,
