Cooking and prepping, loving this fall weather!
« Reply #-1 on: October 01, 2016, 06:59:52 PM »
I've spent the day grinding meat to make homemade breakfast sausage and Italian sausage for pizza (3 lbs each). I also made some homemade pepperoni, I have to let it chill in the fridge for a couple of days before I smoke it. I just injected a "competition" brisket that I bought from a butcher a month or so ago. Before that, I was out shopping for a new PC with the better half, had some Waffle House for breakfast and then went to get some "fall decorations" for her to spruce the joint up a bit. She is now trying out the new salt block on the Keg. Cooking some shrimp and scallops on it. She just chimed in and said she doesn't like it so that's not sounding good. After we eat, I will do a little more prep for tomorrows KBQ smoke and then sit by the firepit, drink some Landshark Lagers with lime and listen to some music.

Busy day but I love it!

I had hurt it in the parking lot putting up the tent & help setting up the fire pit My wife is making Fresh Beef stew as I take it easy......Dads day off ;D ;D ;D

We had a great meal last night as are old chef came back as our new one (two in two years) had left 30 days early. All I can say is this old chef can cook. great German food from an Italian chef LOL. red cabbage was so good I had three helpings. All the meats were cooked great the potato pancakes & German rye were great. Apple sauce & Salad was just awesome. Top it off with The best apple strudel I ever had.  Washed it down with German beer & German wine........ I almost forgot the fresh warm pretzels & member made cabbage soup with sausage.

Sounds like you had a fantastic time! Strudel is something I haven't had in a LONG time and I can't fathom as to why. I LOVE the stuff!

As for football, yeah, I watched the Falcons game while tending to the KBQ. It was a good afternoon football AND food wise. I thoroughly enjoyed both!

I will post what few cooks my wife took once I get this new computer set up fully.
