I'm not so sure that it would be an improvement over individual pieces because I keep thinking it would leave parts unbattered when you finally cut it into pieces (the more crunchy batter, the better), might not cook as evenly, and would require some kind of time-wasting carving ritual between presentation and serving (instead of just grabbing a piece or three straight off the platter).
In the spirit of fairness, however, I would be glad to participate in a side-by-side taste test with whoever decides to take the challenge.
