I recently purchased Corel VideoStudio ProX6. They offer an "Ultimate" version which I should have bought for the extra functions. When I really master this one, I can upgrade.
This is a very powerful product. It took me a couple of days, maybe a total of 8 hours, to practice, play, test, and read the functionality why I was experimenting to really learn the product. I looked up video editing tools on the net and asked for the top 10. This was rated number 2. However, it was rated very high in ease of use. What I value in a technology product is its ability to be intuitive without a lot of research. I think that this product meets that requirement but you must do a lot of reading while you are experimenting. After that, the process is mechanical and fairly simple. I am still learning. I am trying to find more music options.
I use a very cheap camera - Samsung 300X. It fits in my pocket and I can carry it anywhere. I have a little tri pod for it for $9.95 at Best Buy. I bought the camera from Dell on sale. In side my house, there is a preponderance of florescent light. (It is a new built energy efficient home and it really is. If you saw my electric bill, you would be amazed especially here in Texas and the heat.) The color of the video is not true. My wife's counters are white with black speckle and not yellow. Even outside, the yellow becomes dominant. I am now investigating a more sophisticated camcorder like the Canon with internal WiFi. I use to record every hike and fishing experience that my wife and I had taken and now I am doing this with my grand son and what he is involved in. Unfortunately, I can't freakin walk anywhere, anymore until I get fixed.
Just a note, Mike, here's that website:
