I don't think they ship the 2nds?
they only had 3 - 22" 2nds when I was there
and all three had the two vents in the bottom
what they like about selling the 2nds at the office is they don't sacrifice a box
and they don't have to ship it
but give them a call?

Yeah, the 22 incher is the way to go.  The others are just too small, got mostly a family of 5 to cook for at a minimum.  But as of this coming July I will have been out of work for 2 years.  I just don't have it.

I won't be out of work forever though, still way more than able bodied and have a decent enough skill-set to get another job.

My gal worked for 22 years straight at her job until getting the boot in May 2009. She worked only a total of 6 months between then and last month. She is now at a job she really likes, she don't get a whole bunch and it is through an agency but she is happy right now.  Hang in there, Dr Biggles, you will get working again.  :)

My wife was let go last Sep and could not find anything, job market sucks. She finally started a new job last week for almost half of what she was making. Hang in and good luck. Looking for a job is a full time job, trust me, she knows.

Enough of that.

Why not make the old gal part of the family?

I'd consider that, if it were my old red weber kettle.  Now that's worth looking at!  But O' Grilly ain't much to look at and the way she's falling to pieces, I doubt if she'd be there by next year.

It looks like there is a jack under the grill, heck slap a small piece of sheet metal under it jack it up to the bottom of the grill and you got another few years of cooking  ;)    Just keep a fire extinguisher handy!   ;D ;D ;D ;D

I seem to remember him being more of the Supreme Master of Mod and Fabrication.  YEAH !!!  That or an old scissors jack would have been awesome!  But sadly, the beast is broken down and in the back of the truck awaiting a quick trip to the recyclers.  Dangit.
I've been piddling around my other grills, given 'em the stank eye.  Seeing if I couldn't find a Total Package in there some wheres.  Nothin' yet.

It is always hard to get rid of an old friend that has served you well over the years. I think there is another friend out there you haven't met yet that will turn into an old friend...........

RIP Grilly.

Drbiggles, I know the feeling. My old Weber was left at our house by the people who lived here before we bought the house... that was 13 years ago! That old grill is more like an old friend.
