My Liver Needed a Rest!

Went to Nashville last week for basketball & what did I discover just outside the door of the arena but the greatest concentration of honky- tonks, juke joints & dive bars known to man ::)
We made a valiant attempt to visit then all but with 8 blocks of bars failed :-[
Unbelievable talent playing , cold beer , good Tennessee whiskey, and well a " Good Time Was Had By All"

One of my favorite destinations LA, we have visited those places many times. We normally stay at an old renovated hotel on 4th avenue that is now a Residence Inn. Printer's Alley is the alley behind the hotel and 2nd Ave is 2 blocks north and Broadway (where your bars are) is 2 blocks east. You can park your car and never need it for a long weekend. Probably 30 or 40 good bars and restaurants all in walking distance. We would normally make at least 2 or 3 trips a year up there but it has been a while, this makes me want to go back. Done many a "holler and a swaller" at Tootsies.

Haven't been to Nashville in 10-12 years but going for a party in September 2014 and looking forward to it.  Great music and good food and I'm sure you took advantage of both!

I love Nashville as well - it is so much more than country music. Lots that for sure ( the Bluebird is one of my favorite places ) but also a lot of other great places too.

Looks like a great time LA!
