Been a few years since i did dehydrated bacon.

Really a dumb question but do you need to use cure with it??  I mean themps are not there to kill the bad stuff and Super Pig ain't going to kill them off

Tommy I believe that bacon is already cured.

Rick I am interested in this. Do you dehydrate and then fry it?

So does it end up being a crunchy snack? I would think the fat would harden up.

Answer to question 1 & 2

Cured smoked bacon, sprinkle on some SP, Turn dehydrator on 150-160 and let em go.

Dehydrating jerky is different than smoking. You need to cure jerky/sausage for the smoker because your normally running low temp.
Ground meat or strip jerky for the dehydrator is your call if you want to cure.
