OMG..what is snow?  Snow is fine unless there is about 4 feet of it..it's the ice under the snow, or on top that you gotta be careful with.  ☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི

What is snow?

It's that white stuff we allow to live up on some of our mountains so you can play in it for a few minutes before going to the beach.  Also good for chilling martinis and/or beer.  Not sure why people let it run wild in their streets - it's clearly meant to be civilized like it is here.

Snow? We see a sprinkle of it maybe once a year and back in 1993 we had 13 inches on the ground for the first time ever, but I knew better than  to get out and try to drive in it. Power was out for 3 days and I burned up every stick of firewood I had and every piece of scrap lumber and was asking the wife which pieces of furniture she could live without when the power came back on.  Down here any mention of snow flurries causes everybody to rush to the grocery and stock up on milk and bread, the shelves will be empty. I rush to the store and stock up on beer and pork skins. A Country Boy can survive.

Yep and the people who think they can drive in the snow, who shouldn't even be allowed to drive on dry pavement!  :)

Two words... cobblestone ice.  That is what happens when you get an ice storm in Texas and for the next couple of days it melts and freezes again overnight on the overpasses and bridges.  I spent most of my adult life just south of Erie, PA.  I would rather drive in 12 inches of snow than an ice storm.

When I used to live in the Washington, D.C. area, one forecasted snow flake would send everyone into a panic.  We used to say "Abandon your cars now!  Don't get stuck on the beltway".  The local news stations were famous for "whipping everyone into a frenzy" at the first snow report.  Better get your milk and bread quickly.  In my case, it involved stopping at the local ABC store and getting a bottle of Rumplemintz Peppermint Schnapps.  My neighbor had a snow blower (if the weather really did hit).  I would put the bottle in a snow bank by the garage door and show him the bottle and shot glasses.  He would have to work his way up my driveway to get a shot.  He was always good for keeping my driveway clear.  He loved playing with his "toy".  He also loved ice cold Rumplemintz!
