New Year's Eve party pics
« Reply #-1 on: January 03, 2014, 01:15:38 AM »
We host an annual New Year's Eve party for two couples and ourselves each year.  We enjoy good food, games, fireworks, and a bonfire while we wait for the Times Square countdown.  Our friends stay in the guest rooms because of the eggnog and other refreshments we serve throughout the event. Then the next morning we all have breakfast and the guests leave at their leisure.

The food
Prosciutto, beef stick, Vermont Cabot cubes, smoked Gouda, smoked salmon

Scallops seared in butter and olive oil - salt and pepper seasoning

Shrimp sauteed in butter, olive oil, fresh minced garlic, red pepper flakes and minced Prosciutto

Smoked turkey legs

Tiny stuffed potatoes

The party
Pouring the sparkling wine

Keeping warm until midnight

Next morning breakfast

Enjoying a card game along with good food and drink

For anyone that likes to establish holiday traditions, and likes to entertain, I can highly recommend something like this for a truly memorable event for all

Looks like you had a good time.  We used to do a small neighborhood party when I still lived in Northern Virginia.  All walking distance from our houses,  Lots of good food, friends and games.  Haven't been able to start that tradition here in NC yet.
