Apple jack question
« Reply #-1 on: April 07, 2014, 02:46:29 PM »
so this coworker brings me a little jelly jar of apple jack. He says its 2 gallons of apple cider, a fifth of everclear, a fifth of vanilla flavored vodka, some brown sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon sticks. Does anyone know if it needs to be refrigerated ?  If im gonna get happy sure dont want to get sick at the same time :)

I make my own and do not refrigerate it and with the Everclear you don't need to. Have had somebottles for a couple of years now and just fine, butI don't use the everclear. Pam

I have a little 15 year old ever clear sitting on the shelf, can someone post a recipe? And how would you use it?

Thanks ;D

Apple Pie Ala Mode

1 Gallon Apple Juice
1/2 Gallon Apple Cider
3 cups Sugar
8 Cinnamon sticks
1 Pint Everclear

Boil juices and sugar for 1/2 an hour let cool completely. Don't add Everclear until after it coos. Add Everclear and cinnamon sticks. Put in refrigerator overnight. Bottle and served chilled.

also you can google "apple pie moonshine: and a number of varieties will come up.
