First cook on the Grand Slam
« Reply #-1 on: May 14, 2014, 01:00:25 AM »
My new Grand Slam was delivered on Friday.  After the initial burn in I quickly cranked up some pig candy.  Last night I tried my first real cook - chicken.  I split two chickens down the middle between the breasts - seasoned with some store-bought rubs (I did not have time after work to make up my own version) I cooked them for an hour twenty minutes at 350 and took them off at 165 and let them rest.  I did not get them off the grill until after 8:00 PM so my bad - no greens on the plate - just chicken and corn. Here it is.

I am new to pellet cooking but have been grilling on my Weber for years - I can't wait to try some pork shoulder and brisket.
