You know, seeing the Allman Brothers on that poster just made me think.....

I had the pleasure of seeing Lynard Skynard at a local venue when they still played small venues.  It was part of what became the "Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd" tour in August of 1973. 

Oh lordy, how I ever survived my youth is a mystery to me for sure....

I still go to concerts !
Seen the Beachboys, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Hall & Oates , Elton John, the Boss!, Sarah McLachlan, and a lot of smaller groups in the Last two years & Santana was the best of all 8)
The sound systems are better than in the past!
I'm actually sober enough to remember the event, not so much 40 years ago
Also go with good friends & family!
Hoping my best concerts are in the future ::)

I was able to see Jimmy Buffett at a local bar in Key West in the late 70's playing for the locals.  This obviously was not a concert, but I remember the good music.  Also, that I was sitting at a table with a local prosecuting attorney, and I  could smell and see the smoke from cannabis in the bar, and no one was concerned.  Looking back, I only wish that I would have had the video technology that we now have.

My favorite has to be Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson!!! All my heroes at once! I can't remember what year it was.   :) Don
