Just make sure you wash your hands thoroughly BEFORE you go potty and you'll be fine.  :P

I bought some Ghost Pepper Jerky in a smoke shop and took it to a friends.  It was too hot to eat and we both have high tolerance for hot stuff.  We left it on the deck table and came back to find my Lab Keelo had eaten the entire package and never batted an eye.  I understand that dogs don't have the same taste buds that we do....

OK it's done. Took about 6 hrs in the dehydrator. Wiped excess grease off and into ziplock bag for 24 hrs to even out moisture. Then in a brown paper bag and into the frig.

The flavor is really good. It's pretty hot but I wish I would've put that second ghost pepper in there.

Cut shot. Sorry it's kinda blurry. Nice color all the way thru.

That DOES look good. I think I'd try  1 pepper on the first batch as well - can always make more, but wouldn't want to waste them.

A quick aside - I agree w/ muebe - Roscoe will pick certain bits out of his dry food and spit them on the floor and then eat the rest - they are always the same flavor bits.
