I have had my Traeger Jr. for about three months and am planning to cook the Thanksgiving bird on it. I did a test run today with a 13 1/2 turkey. Rinsed and patted dry, rubbed with olive oil, Mo' Rocking Chicken, salt and pepper. Smoked it for 1 1/2 hours and then kicked it up to 300 for 3 hours. Just took it off the grill. It looks and smells very good. EDIT. Just finished eating. It tastes as good as it looked and smelled, and was oh, so juicy. In addition to our kids, inlaws, and grandkids, we have many of my wife's family here for Thanksgiving. I have fried a turkey for years. Last year I cooked one in the big easy. This year, they are going to get a new taste sensation on their taste buds....smoked turkey.
