Low Tech Cook - Cast Iron Strip Steak with Coffee Sauce

Having some fun with heat... I love cast iron steaks, but the mess in the kitchen is just too much. Here you have cast iron heated over a chimney starter about 2/3 full of charcoal. The rub is Cattleman's original coffee which combined with the Parkay made a nice compound butter and a killer sauce. Seared the steaks, covered and cooked for a couple of minutes per side to medium rare. Just a little bit of ash under the starter to clean up later.

Looks great SB! I like the idea of coffee sauce. I've been putting a coffee rub on my tri-tips with good results.
