Dang - you're getting me hooked on this guy. I think my dad would love him too. Need to find a CD or cassette with his stuff - my dad doesn't do the interweb.


You may be able to find video of him on Amazon...? and it is WORTH IT! I grew up listening to his and Justin Wilson's stories.

Can't believe I didn't hear this growing up - seems like something my Dad would have been listening to! But I will find some CDs / DVDs for him - I know he will enjoy them.

Back then - I think the folks in the North, Midwest, and elsewhere would have considered the accents possessed by Jerry Clower and  used by Justin Wilson were..."hick" - and conveyed ignorance.Nothing was further from the truth of course. They were dumb like a fox ;) ;D.

Thank goodness times have changed - and those accents/customs/sub-cultures are now not only accepted - but cherished as part of the weave in the American cultural tapestry.

Maybe true - but that wouldn't have bothered my dad - this is the stuff he loved to listen too - need to find it for him now...
