Making some no knead bread
« Reply #-1 on: March 05, 2016, 09:02:40 PM »
I've recently turned in my man card to Tee, so I've been making bread.

I've been having some good results. Started weighing my ingredients and using a higher quality flour (King Arthur).

This loaf came out with a very good crust and a nice airy crumb.

Bread, barbecue, beer - all man foods. You should never have been asked/forced to surrender your card in the first place (unless it was out of pity for tee's whining about his lack of the necessary traits to have his own).

Game over (unless you start making petit fours).

I just might have to start making bread again - used to make it all the time.  Carry over from my first real job as a kid at Butler's Bakery (Smokin Don knows the place)

Yes,what a great 'go to' dough....try some various flavorings, garlic, cilantro, whatever.IMO its as good as any artisan loaves Ive ever purchased at one fourth the price.Comes out real good by baking in a dutch oven inside your home oven too.

Congrats on getting into it.
Feel free to share my pictorials anywhere you like.Could mention from Spuds if you remember.
