Hello to all
Let first off start by saying thank you all for the warm welcome. It's nice to be in a form where we all can discuss what matters the most in here to us and that is some BBQ. I was born in the great state of Georgia, lived there for 3 years then moved to Louisiana. During these times
I've learned a lot about the roots and heritage of cajun blood line. Yes, I can speak perfectly good English. lol. Either working on the pain-staking oyster boats, dreading for shrimp, crabs and crawfish, I was being taught the reality of my love for seafood. BBQ took some time to catch up. It was nothing for my uncles to go kill a wild boar, dig a pit and cook the boar in the ground for hours and hours. There is nothing that can give such an amazing taste to a ground pit roasted boar. In 2000, I moved to Tennessee. Seafood seemed unrealistic throughout this state. Everything was pre-packaged. Actually pretty common and depressing. BBQ in Tennesse was alive and the passion was so amazing. I've tried and tried but never got into it as much. Simple fact meat at times was overly priced. Now let's Jump forward a bit -> -> -> -> Recently, I went to my Lowe's and bought a Masterbuilt 40'' electric smoker. Nothing fancy. I made some St. Louis style ribs. I cooked these using the 3-2-1 method. Once done, I put a half rack on my daughter's plate. Thinking she would probably hate it. WRONG. Nothing more warm feeling than her saying, Daddy, this is amazing, I want more, please. She has given me the motivation to become more involved in BBQ Smoking. My Family actually loves smoked bbq. My other three kids are slowly coming around.
I'm hoping to learn a lot throughout this form and master the bbq smoking as much as possible. Thank you for taking the time to read this long boring intro.
