The University of Arkansas lost to Alabama and the Razorbacks fired their coach.

Alabama beat Tennessee and the Vols fired their coach.

Alabama beat Auburn and they fired their coach.

Then Alabama beat Notre Dame and the pope resigned.

RickB,  The Army sent me to Bama in 73-75 to get a piece of paper saying I was smart.  My next door neighbor was the public affairs director for the athletic department and he got me a pass so I could go and watch the practices.  That was when the Bear was there.  I wish I had got some things autographed by him but I never really thought about it.  Sort of looked at him as I did my Daddy for years in that he'd be around forever.

Unlike Auburn where they get two copies of their diploma at graduation, we have only one.  You see Auburn gets two: one they frame and hang on the wall and the second they put on the dashboard of their cars or trucks so they can legally park in the handicapped parking spaces. ;D

I just love the "cat-bird seat"...Being the Aggie in this bunch means I have perennial low expectations....and we were almost everyone's spoiler last year - so I would watch out SEC - no matter WHO you pull for.... ;)

Yeah, but Saban has had a year to figure him out. With all credit due to to A&M, you must remember that Alabama lost that game on an interception at the goal line.  Kudo's on the A&M defense, but the point I am making is that it took a while but "bama finally started to figure them out, just too late. Yeah, but Saban has had a year to figure him out. With all credit due to to A&M, you must remember that Alabama lost that game on an interception at the goal line.  Kudo's on the A&M defense, but the point I am making is that it took a while but "bama finally started to figure them out, just too late. Now its been a year.


Yeah..that is true Gus...Johnny Manziel has had a year to get better...... ;) :D ;D

Kevin Sumlin is a very good coach, won with middling talent at Houston.
Very good recruiting class at A&M
A&M has unlimited alumni money, heck no telling how much Tim gives ::)

It's o.k. Gus... A&M is used to being under-estimated. We thrive on the underdog status, and - frankly enjoy takin' the big boys candy! :D :D :D

I have no idea what to expect from the Aggies this year - other than this !!!SURPRISE!!!


Could be a good surprise - or a bad surprise. But A&M football is never boring, or calculable. Which, is why they are aften a spoiler team for teams that get too reliant on their "ranking" ;)
