I started off with some golden potatoes with butter, onion and garlic seasoned with Way Out West.
Put onto the Grid Iron at 325 degrees and using a mixture of apple and hickory pellets.
45 minutes later and I added the chicken thighs to the cooker. 2 of the thighs were seasoned with
Tatonka Dust and the other 2 with BPS Sweet Money.
Verifying temperatures with my Maverick. This new controller rocks! I talked with Blaz’n Grill works
today to get the cooling shutdown time lowered and Tim at Blaz’n walked me through the procedure.
I wish I had the manual on what each of these C settings stood for (but that could be dangerous in my hands
)
as the fan setting control was at C30. Talking with a few other members of this board I believe they are correct
in saying this is probably the same controller that the Memphis and the Rec Tec use.
I added some Mexican style cheese and crumbled bacon to the potatoes during the last 10 minutes of cooking.
Potatoes and chicken are done!
Here’s your plate!
Delicious Monday night meal! Potatoes were real tasty and the thighs were melt in your mouth delicious!
Out of the 2 rubs on the chicken I personally refer the Tatonka Dust. My wife really likes the Tatonka Dust
but she likes her chicken to have a more sweet taste.
Thanks for looking!
