Same here. I love the longer wires. I tried the oven thing on the one giving me issue but those plastic/rubber ends didn't like it  ???
RAD, as you've probably figured out,  you can put the probes in an oven, but leave the plug-ins out. Just as if you had plug-ins plugged into unit on countertop. ???
