Didn't we do this a year or so ago? Anyway, "Ka Honu" is Hawaiian for the green sea turtle. When I was a much younger green sea turtle looking for an alias, it just seemed obvious.

I wasn't here a year ago so forgive me :) I like the name. It's interesting to hear the stories. LostArrow, that's a cool story!

Fairly simple one, as a Scout Platoon Sergeant in an Infantry Battalion my radio call sign was Saber 4 and I used it to name my company and then just figured it was good for forums as well.

... and my memory sucks - the last time was a lot longer than a year ago.

Interesting to see how some of our backstories have "evolved" over the years.

LOL! It's all part of the fun isn't it. I've found that the memory is a tricky thing. We all remember things more fondly than we lived them.

Funny thing, this Username is similar to what I use in most forums as it appears to be usually available.  Simple enough, it is my first name and first initial of my last name.

3043 harks back to the days when the internet was just starting out.  I was looking for someway to make a user name memorable and I was involved in a Cub Scout pack as a leader.  The pack number was 3043.

Nowadays, I have been known to use EagleEyes - but that is usually taken and I hate adding numbers to it so it is rare!

Tailfeathers is due to several things. Being from South Dakota of course pheasant hunting has always been a passion of mine. Then when my son was in the 6th grade his science teacher had a unit on birds and he would come home from school and pester me to take him "birding". Well I got bit by that bug to the point where during May I may end up grabbing binoculars and looking for migrating warblers instead of grabbing a rod and reel and chasing walleyes. And for me that's saying something!

I have been tailgating on & off since the early 70's at Shea Stadium for NY Jet games. It is fun to pack the SUV with all you need & cook on the road. I must say over all the years I have never really forgotten anything big or small.....use my lists LOL

I started with a little Hibacchi, cooler & BW TV.

Then a small portable gas grill, Cooler & BW TV

Now I have a hitch mount gasser, Fryer, Small Charcoal grill & butane stove, Two coolers, & color TV with built-in DVD. Heaters & tents. I also tailgated at a Cards BB game at Citi field once.

My bucket list is to boat-gate at Citi field for a Cards game someday. ;D ;D ;D ;D   (but I need the boat)

At one time I would boat gate at block island

I have tailgated at Genesis Concerts but that is mostly adult drinks & sandwiches

My wife cooks as much or more on the grills at home but I take over on the road lol

Its funny in those early days at shea there would only be a handful of us early at games....boy that has changed

When my wife and I met we were both widowed and had our separate banks accounts and investment, thus two pockets, one mine, one hers. After we married she decided to keep money in two different banks but she informed me one pot was her money and the other pot was 'our' money.
