It's raining... again...
« Reply #-1 on: July 07, 2014, 09:36:36 PM »
No softball, can't try the electric smoker. Bought a bunch of meat to smoke... resting in the fridge...

So, tonight we are having leftover retained steak salad. Very simple, some arugula, tomatoes, onion (sweet and grilled), avocado, blue cheese, smoked / grilled lemon, EVOO and balsamic vinegar. Added the steak (smoked and grilled yesterday.) MMMM good.

Very nice David! I'd love a bowl of all that taste and maybe a glass of a full bodied Zinfandel!  8)

Nope - hammered steel from Ecuador. Keeps a great edge with regular care - treat like a cast iron pan... Have this one and another that is about 10". Picked up on a trip to Ecuador (along with a hat... :) ) Love them.

Good looking salad, I love the knife it would make a great hog skinner. I'm glad I have a covered porch so I can keep on cooking when it rains. :)

Love the knife! Good for you! Wish I did too! I will cook with charcoal or wood in the rain and snow, but electric is not good...  :'(

I hear you on the rain, might be worth getting a cheap popup canopy if it rains a lot, we've probably seen the last of our rain until September down here.

Not a bad idea. Actually have one that I take to the softball games, guess I should have thought of that! Thanks!

Great looking steak salad and I'm thinking a Fat Tire/Sam Adams/Newcastle would go good with it.  ;)
