Cooking for a Fundraiser
« Reply #-1 on: July 12, 2014, 02:00:31 PM »
My wife & her friends volunteered us to cook a meal as part of a fundraiser ???

BBQ dinner for 8
Brisket
Baby back ribs
Cole slaw
Baked beans
Potatoe salad
Ice cream & brownies.
Adult beverages!
The dinner sold for $325 I'd better do good ::)
Getting started
Went fishing this AM so cooked brisket earlier.
Ribs going on now

A little something to help with the heat!

The dinner was a success.
This was an older group aged 60-90!
The 8 consumed 2 racks ribs & 2lbs brisket.
They did however almost finish 4 bottles wine & a half fifth of scotch ???
I mentioned to my wife that maybe for good health I should drink as much as these folks & she told me I already do ::)
Not many pics was working as a server but enough to prove not an unicorn cook!

Great looking meal! fundraiser or not, BBQ cooking shows the love and is a perfect way to get friends together.
