Wild salmon from Sam's $11/ lb.
Absolutely beautiful .
Rubbed in oil , seasoned with salt , pepper & lemon.
Smoked 20 min & then over the fire for a quick sear.
Really tasty & salmon perfect med rare!

WOW!   Just ate and now hungry again.  Question--how much "smoke" did it pick up in 20 mins?   Smoking wood used?  Thanks.

Gotta love the look on the dogs face peeking out from under the table that the grill is on...priceless.  ;)

Tasty looking fish. Good thing you didn't drop it, you would never have seen it again.

Mild smoke flavor, but salmon being high fat fish will pick up smoke rapidly.

Thanks for the answer, LA.  Probably going to do it anyway--even if wife won't eat.  I can make it last for me (I hope!).  Grill her a hamburger--burned to a crisp.  That'll keep her happy!
