You don't look forward to taking your wife somewhere to stay for a couple of nights to celebrate your anniversary; because you have to board and leave the dog home!

I just really enjoy being at Home. Who wants to go sleep on a motel community bed that who knows what was going on the night before you got there :) Risk dragging home bed bugs and the sorts. Spend more money in two days then you spent on your wedding rings 25 years ago. Drag all that luggage to the Motel room and then drag it back. Come home more tired then when you left and then have to go back to work. No Thanks, I'll stay at home, cook a cheap $20 steak and a can of pop it biscuits and some garden green beans and be happy as a clam. If I want to see Paris I'll turn on the travel channel. Dang, I'm turning into my Dad I think ;)

I think that is the main reason we have two cats and not a dog. You can leave the cats home alone for a couple of days and I think they are actually glad to not have to put up with us.
