My first whole chickens in the BEESR
« Reply #-1 on: October 22, 2014, 11:41:01 AM »
Just over a week ago I used my BEESR to do two whole chickens.  I used a turkey stand/rod that I saw someone suggest on this site.  I think next time I'll just do one bird at a time.  Also still working out the timing on things as they were done a lot earlier than we were eating.

I hope the picture shows up because if it doesn't then I don't know how to do that.

(Edit - well now I can see it but it is giant size.)

Now after having cooked some smaller meat pieces I really want to find a cooling rack that will fit the basket if I cut out a wire section like I've also seen on here.  I don't know if the BEESR basket is smaller than the BE basket or not.  The measurement seems rather small and I haven't found a cooling rack that will fit yet.  Using the half-racks and leg racks just totally frays my nerves and I'm tired of it.

Granny:  "I don't own the house in town anymore do I?
Me:  "No ma'am."
Granny:  "I guess I should sell it."
Me:  "I guess so.  Let me know how that works out."

If you have one of these stores near you the 10 in rack works just fine.    I use to buy them for TBE and it's the same size basket
but the legs.   The BEESR's basket legs are pulled in tighter but the ring is the same

At one time you could buy the 10 in racks in a pack of two.   You do have to work them in but they fit.  I'll find a picture
