Holloween in Cedarpines Park
« Reply #-1 on: October 31, 2014, 08:59:34 PM »
They did a trick or treat at Downtown last weekend for the kids and that was a good thing. We got our first winter storm coming in today. Now, Wendy and I are from the San Fernando Valley where it is basically 90 degrees all year round so this is a big deal to us. Should get some swow flurries but the locals say it wont stick.......

We took a walk down the street from our house to get some kindling for the fire and here were some remnants of the fire back in 2008...scary stuff indeed

We got back home and the clouds are moving in and here is the view from our front deck

No trick or treaters but we are ready just in case

Earlier in the day we were checking our PO box and we stumbled on this thrift store that had a pair of boots for 30 bucks from Thieves Market. I believe these were made for them by Tony Lama. They fit like a glove. The boots on the bench are made in Mexico and are crocodile with ostrich inlay for 40 bucks. Got those for our new Son-in Law...........Happy Halloween everyone  8)

Gonna be a darn shame to have to look for work next year, but after all the changes and deaths we had to deal with in such a short period of time we decided we had to take this Holiday Season to heal........and that is what we are gonna do..........

We still want to go out and see Fort Payne sometime in our lifes, but to find this hidden gem of a place only an 1.5 hour and half from the crap hole that we used to live in is still hard to believe.

Gonna be a darn shame to have to look for work next year, but after all the changes and deaths we had to deal with in such a short period of time we decided we had to take this Holiday Season to heal........and that is what we are gonna do..........

Just take your time to relax and unwind, or unlax and rewind as I say. I have been through the deaths and changes. They say that which does not kill you makes you stronger so we should be the strongest SOBs on the planet, right?

Anyway, I see a guy living the dream in a cool place, a cool house, a nice warm fire, nice pair of already broken in boots with a cold beer. All you need is one of those t-shirts that says "Life is Good".  Not in the picture is a super fine lady who is way too good for you but still thinks you are cool.  Smoke, life don't get mo' better so enjoy it, you deserve it.

When y'all get ready to check out Ft Payne plan at least a week so you can check out NW GA, and SE TN and more of NE AL. I doubt it will make you want to move from where you are but there are some cool places there. Maybe some of us can get some cabins up at Desota State Park or Guntersville State Park and have a BBQ overdose.
