Well....it could be worse I suppose....I lost the bet last year - and had to wear a shirt with a big red "A" on it ( still wondering if that was for the Atlanta Braves...or???... ;D) and a pair of Oklahoma underwear. Not sure why LA wanted me to wear OU boxers....and pretty scared to ask about the significance of the letters O....U....( Ohhh...YOU!!!!!   ??) :D :D :D :D

Another interesting FACT.... If you look at the color he wore - it was not Alabama red. It was Texas A&M maroon   http://brandguide.tamu.edu/colors.html  Which he wore At A&M - BEFORE he became the coach at Abalone Alabama...

BTW - Gus - If you have not the seen movie called "The Junction Boys" - it is a great Bear Bryant/A&M story. He really was building a great program when Alabama called him to come home and coach...

When Bryant died, the only piece of jewelry he was wearing was a ring given to him by the Junction Boys from his first training camp with Texas A&M. His hat, and his heart - belonged to his time at A&M.....

He started wearing THE HAT after someone in the Jets organization sent it to him after Joe Namath signed with the Jets.   I had always said I would be cool and uncaring if I ever saw a celebrity.  While I was at the U of Alabama, where the Army sent me'73-'75  to get a paper to say I was smart, I was on the way to class one morning and stopped at a "GO Light" (negative folks call 'em "stop lights") I looked to the car left of me and it was Joe Namath in his car with the windows down.  I calmly looked over and nonchalantly yelled, "Hey Joe!  How  you doin' man?  Great to see you!!" while wavin' like an idiot/Auburn Graduate --excuse the repetition.  I  really could have been cool and ignored him but didn't want to hurt his feelings.  Dee

Tommy..I don't do dresses unless I absolutely have to..that is a really ugly dress too and I refuse to wear one.  And I'm NOT gonna have to wear one.  ☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.
