SV Cream-Style Scrambled Eggs
« Reply #-1 on: January 25, 2015, 01:10:57 PM »
These are fabulous!  They are basically a savory custard cooked in this manner. When finished, they were simply poured from zip loc bag onto buttered toast. How hard is that?

Per serving, may dbl.
Preheat waterbath to 165F

2 eggs
1 T cream
1 T grated cheese
S & P to taste
1 T butter

Whisk eggs, cream, and S&P (or any herb/spice you like), pour into Zip-loc bag, add cheese, and butter. Remove air from bag and seal. Place in hot tub for 20 minutes.

That's funny... I was talking with my brother last night about eggs - and how I loved a creamy scrambled egg on toast - this will be lunch. Looks excellent, I may add some dill or chives - but this is fantastic. Thanks for the inspiration and the pictures!

I've watched a Gordon Ramsey video on how he scrambles his eggs. His results look like yours. Great idea

Hey Cajun it's 5 o'clock somewhere.....right?   lol 8)
After seeing my post here, I'm off to make these eggs again this morning, as our farmer friend dropped off a couple dozen eggs last night. Be back with a pic or two!

OK, this is THE perfect scrambled egg recipe!  Or at least the best ever for me!
My dearest is going to breakfast with her sister and father so I'm on my own. Time to experiment!

Hot tub @ 165F
Beat 4 eggs with 2T cream (didn't have, used sour cream)
Added 2-3 T crumbled bleu cheese, 1T Frank's Red Hot Wing Sauce,Buffalo flavor, and S&P. Mixed well, then poured into qt. Zip-Loc and added 1T butter.
Threw into the hot tub for 20 minutes. Meanwhile toasted 4 slices of bleu cheese green onion bread. Pulled the bag and poured all that goodness over the toast. Wow the aromas were intoxicating! Made a batch of Smoked Maple Bacon coffee in the French press and it's time to eat!
Mangia!
