I should probably come clean too muebe
: My Grandfather was a hard knuckles brawler in the early days of the depression - in order to feed the family. He was good...A promoter saw him, and put him under contract. He was the Middle American States champion for several years during the 1930s.
He taught us ( 3 grand sons ) to box. But he was a "sportsmanship" oriented man. You put all in - in order to get all out of your efforts.
Yet - I see the irony of pugilistic endeavors, as does Paul......there is something about us as a species that derives a pleasure front he caveman-like physicality of some sports....I don't deny it - nor am I ashamed of it....But it is a curious thing isn't it?
