I'd like The Smoke to abstain from chiming in......he has a rub problem.
I like John Henry rubs. My family likes sweet rubs. And Savor Spices Mo Rockin chicken. It is mixed by elves living in a tree, and it contains dehydrated unicorn tears.
My lips are sealed and I have stepped away from the keyboard...............................
OK, maybe just one.......
one.......hundred?? I love you Pappy
Sweet Lou's Roast Rub is my desert island rub....if I am stuck on a desert island, this is the one I would want..........
Roast rub is great with all meats, so is the Jamaican Jerk from Sweet Lou's. I also got Bayou BBQ, which is pretty good but more of an old bay/bbq rub. It goes good with chicken, pulled pork, and fish, but I really like using it with reheating left overs to change the flavor profile. Only thing I don't like it sometime there is too much celery seed.
For Beef, I just do 4oz salt, 2 oz black pepper, 2oz granulated garlic.
Everything else, Light brown sugar, salt, pepper, granulated garlic, lawry's seasoning salt, chili powder, paprika, dry mustard, ground clove. Mix together taste, and adjust.
