Got back into barrel cooking. Kora Smoker can vouch, that I cooked exclusively on a vertical barrel smoker and grilled on it as well. Family had a mutiny and I sold my drum to Kora. It just hasn't been the same and I have had enough.
Discovered this company on the Patio Daddio web site and got very curious. After numerous calls to Noah, I pulled the trigger.
I am going to do a series of cooks with this smoker and will post my observations.
It is a 30 gallon barrel. There is no thermometer. You do not cook based on temp. You pre-set one air vent on the bottom and away you go. It has a grill for grilling or for the times you want to set your food on a grate.....but...........
that is not the main way to cook on this smoker. You hang your food..chikcens,Turkeys,Briskets,Butts,Ribs..........and so on.
It is a set it and forget it smoker and it uses Kingsford!! It is extremely heavy duty and well made. It is very affordable. Free Shipping!!!!!
