I shouldn't tell on myself but I will and chalk it up to OLD AGE! After a back operation just over a year ago I ended up having to use a cane most of the time. When cooking outdoors I usually have to have a beer with me. With the cane occupying one hand I only had one hand to carry things. I found I could carry a can of beer in my shirt pocket or coat pocket. I don't need the cane much around home and now I can put the beer in a pocket and have two hands free.
I am doing a meatloaf on my smoker today and just got it on. I needed to add pellets so I put my beer in the pocket of my carhart jacket and carried my little bucket in the house to go to the garage and get more pellets. Forgetting to take the beer out I went to the garage and got a bucket of pellets. When I got back on my smoke deck I saw there was water or something on my shoe. Then my jacket started leaking down my pants! Here I had a pocket full of beer when I leaned over to get the pellets. I went inside and stuffed paper towels in my jacket pocket to soak up the beer. I had to change my pants.
I hope the rest of my cooking goes better!
