Hello all...

Gunsmokers here - just want to say hi and introduce myself.

First off, look forward to learning and if  at any time, help in being a better griller, smoker, bbq'r....

I have been grilling for about 20 years or so - mostly a gas grill type. About 5 years ago I switched to lump charcoal and have found it the most satisfying for my needs. Personally believe both have their merits. My current cooker(s) are a couple Weber Kettles that have turned out excellent results. However I have wanted to make the next step in having a more solid built set-up, more cooking area, a not needed to install and remove implements for special cooking (like smoking). With that said, the Smokenator that I use in the kettle works very well and I would recommend it. The other 'must have' for a kettle (or any grill) is a set of Grillgrates.

In researching my next cooker I came across this site. After reading reviews from Amazingribs.com, various videos, and such - decided on a Good-One Open Range and hope to pick one up when our local dealer gets their shipment in April.

I work as a sales person for PCD and CBN tooling, enjoy church functions, spending time with my family, and cowboy action shooting (hence: Gunsmokers).

Looking forward to participating when I can and wishing all the best.

My current set-up:

Ribs

Brisket

Steak

Yeah, I liked the table (for the 22"), but was getting too much smoke leaking out the cover - so I made a small modification and it works like a charm now.
