Howdy everyone! Sam from Oregon here. Was told of this site just recently, thought it sounded like a great place to be. I like the open minded outlook there seems to be here regarding all forms of backyard cooking and barbecuing. I'm lucky enough to be able to cook on some pretty top notch cookers, but as we all know, you can cook great BBQ and have a blast on whatever your using. So that elitist stuff doesn't fly with me, it's about having fun! I'm from Sherwood, Oregon, and for the next 5-6 months we're going to have days just like today, windy and wet. So a place like this to sneak off to for a while sounds like a great escape! I suppose we can all live vicariously through each others experiences and adventures in the backyard. Always love looking at the photos as well. No better way to get the full picture than a photo of it.
Anyhow, thanks for having me, look forward to reading more and partaking here and there. Just to be completely upfront and honest with you all, I am involved in bbq for a living, but I am in no way, shape or form, here for any of that. I'm no different than anyone else here, just in it for the pure love and passion for Barbecuing, and the good times that surround us all by the pit. Barbecue can mean many different things to us all, and for me, it's turning everyday into a weekend! You know, when your planning that next cook, that's kind of like that "Friday Night Feeling" you used to have after a long week and anticipating the weekend ahead and time away from work. That's how I feel about BBQ everyday, and I'm happy to be amongst many others who I think probably feel the same way. I look forward to the interaction and times ahead on LTBBQ. Thanks!
