Long time lurker, time to introduce myself. My username comes from my photography and soccer hobbies. I used to be great at overcooking burgers, chicken, steaks, anything I was asked to grill. It was a crap shoot at best. Started learning some better techniques(2 zone cooking, getting a meat thermometer), acquired a Weber 18 Gold 6 years ago, added a Smokenator and started producing better food. Last year I gave my old setup to a friend to get him going and picked up a Weber Premium 22 and added a Slow N Sear Plus. Somehow I came across the Pit Barrel Cooker last year and finally bought one this Spring. I'm really enjoying playing with that new toy and the Weber may be feeling a bit neglected. Smoking/grilling have seem to become a bit of therapy for me and I enjoy taking in the wonderful aromas and enjoying a hometown Boulevard Wheat while I cook. My profile pic also shows another passion of mine, fishing. That Walleye is from a fall trip I take to MN in early Nov each year.
Looking forward to learning and contributing my experiences in the forums.
