Wonder what grade of stainless? It matters - especially if you live in a damp climate - and more so near the ocean....
Raymond Carnes the owner just stated...The barrel is in fact 430 to keep the price point. The critical components that take the grunt of the abuse have remained high grade 304 SS.

But, the concern I always have is for the corrosion of the barrel in certain geographic areas. Near any salt air...and in a rain forest - like where I live. Ray is a partner in the business.

The Mid size one interests me however it has three holes in the back which I wouldnt be able to handle would need to cover up and add a stack. Other than that Im impressed!

The holes in the back have been used by Dansons for years and I think it helps the smoke and heat "roll" more" in the smoking chamber before exiting.Camp Chef kind of did both with a rear mounted smokestack.

The biggest reason of all is that the stack looks cool! Besides its almost impossible for me to not modify anything!
