We make Tuesdays Tasty @ MAK Grills! This week’s recipe comes from grill owner Joe Alosky, who cooked up some fine tasting chicken wings on Super Bowl Sunday. Wings are great any time of the year, and if you’re like us, you could eat some every day. Here’s a way to flavor-up your next “wing fling”:
Joe’s Fabulous Wings
Serves 4-6 people
Ingredients:
3-4 lbs. chicken wings, tips removed
Wing Rub:
1/2 cup sea salt
¼ cup brown sugar
2 TBSP ground mustard
2 TBSP black pepper
2 TBSP smoked paprika
2 TBSP garlic powder
Wing Sauce:
½ cup Sriracha sauce
½ cup Pure maple syrup
¼ cup sesame seed oil
¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
Preparation:
Wash and dry wings. In a bowl add all of the dry rub ingredients and mix thoroughly. Sprinkle both sides of each wing with the rub.
In a saucepan, add all of the sauce ingredients and stir over low heat. Once blended and heated, remove and allow to cool. Then, transfer to a dipping bowl. Just before serving the wings, re-heat the sauce in a microwave for 45 seconds.
Cooking:
Start your MAK and set to 250F. Allow grill to come to temperature. Place wings on cooking grate, leaving room between the wings for air flow. Cook @ 250F for one hour, then increase the heat to 350F for one hour, or until outside of the wings are crispy. When cooked, remove and serve on a platter with the dipping sauce.
