I worked with his original drummer in a western wear store in So-Cal back in the 80's

We didn't believe him...……………………………..

until he brought in his gold record for The devil went down to Georgia

Charlie gave every musician one that worked on the recording session

We were blown away.

I am riding in one of our bakery trucks with one of our delivery men in the 1980's on I-95 in CT. We were talking about music when I mentioned Charlie Daniels. Just then his tour bus drove by us & I said that is who I am talking about LOL. Talk about timing.

  Like Tommy I've listened to Charlie all my life.  I've seen him in shows many times over the years. The last time we saw him at the Riley Raleigh Bike Ride , Oak Hollow Farm, Barnwell AL.. He didn't look all that good then. He preformed in a sweatsuit and had to sit a large part of the show but don't let that fool you! He did not disappoint.

You know he was a GREAT American when abc news only gave him 10 seconds or so to say he had passed where they gave a guy who was on broadway dang near a min and a half to say he passed of guess what  >:( >:( >:(

Sorry Mr. Daniels deserved a LOT more then that..   Never will I watch abc news again
