When I was in junior high in the mid-80's we had a teacher who gave us extra credit for reading and writing about his AJC columns ... needless to say when he swung through my area on a book tour I badgered my mom into taking me to get a signed copy.  The guy was one of a kind ...

He was a certain generation's Will Rogers.......He draped humor over un-avoidable and sometime un-comformtable truths that we all know about ourselves - or at least close family members.... ;) :D
