Soups and cold days
« Reply #-1 on: November 28, 2013, 05:26:58 PM »
Well with the American Thanks giving well on its way I remembered I had left over turkey in the freezer from our Canadian thanks giving. So it was time for turkey soup. Mmmm  good. There's been a few comfort food soup threads and I am adding to it  ;D

Love my cast iron pot

That soup looks delicious! I know we will be having leftover turkey and this will be on
my list to do.  Do you have a certain recipe you would like to share?

Looks very good SmokenD! It's always a little less cold outside after a hot bowl of comfort soup!

I do have a cast iron wok also. i use it in my TBE or on top of my turkey burner when I am out camping. For making fries for the boy.

Nice pots..both of them..love my cast iron. Two Pockets is the only one I know that has more than I do.  I have a  lot of the enameled cast iron now too. I like it as well as the regular cast iron. I found a 3 quart that is perfect for me..I can't seem to make a small batch of soup unless I start small. Pam  .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི

I am cutting back Pam. I sold 300 or so pieces a few years back, got maybe 80-100 left , maybe a few more, I just don't know. I am still addicted though, picked up a nice 8 inch gate marked spider skillet the other day. I will go on the pile of "I might use one day". There is probably a 12 step program for this.
